Time Frames

If you submit your application in person at the Visa Section of the Canadian Embassy in Kyiv, we will make every effort to render a decision that day. The final decision your application may depend on a personal interview. During the interview you may be informed of further requirements.

If you apply for a single entry visa and your application is approved, we will normally issue a visa on the day of approval. If you request a multiple entry visa and your application is approved, we will normally issue a visa ten working days after the day of the interview. In some instances, however, for both multiple and single entry visas, processing may take fifteen working days or longer.

If you are going to Canada to conduct business or have official meetings in Canada, you are strongly encouraged to apply at least 15 working days in advance of your travel date. If an interview is required, the 15 days will start on the day of your interview. A visa may not be issued to you if you have not applied at least 15 working days in advance of your travel date.

Application Fee

The Application Fee will not be refunded under any circumstances. The fee is charged for each person who intends to travel to Canada. This includes all accompanying children, whether they have their own passport or are included in the passport of a parent.

The fee for a single entry Temporary Resident Visa is $75 Canadian Dollars. The fee for a multiple entry Temporary Resident Visa is $150 Canadian Dollars.

The fee can be paid in Canadian Dollars or Ukrainian Hryvnia. The exchange rate fluctuates for the Ukrainian fees so the fees are posted at the Embassy only. We do not accept credit cards. The fee may also be paid by certified cheque or by International Money Order. Certified cheques or money orders must be made payable to the 'Receiver General for Canada'.
